This intimate and exhilarating concert offers spectacular virtuosity and some of the best music of our time created especially

for Kronos. Featuring a stunning world-premiere and works by Laurie Anderson, Aleksandra Vrebalov, John Oswald, and

more. Three musical generations come together as Kronos Quartet debuts a new work with the Community MusicWorks

Players – commissioned by FirstWorks and Community MusicWorks from composer Kareen Roustom. A rising star in the

composition world, Roustom frequently combines Arabic and Western musical styles, reflecting his own heritage

as a Syrian-American. A Voice Exclaiming is a timely homage to Syria today.
